FASHION DESIGN STUDIO HAMBURG

During the collection development process, we support our clients through our Fashion Design Studio Hamburg, led by our founder Stefan Eckert, who previously worked with Alexander McQueen and has been the owner of his own internationally established luxury fashion label since 2009.

Our approach to fashion collection development combines creative excellence with a deep understanding of financial, technical and production-related requirements. The goal is to create collections that not only stand out visually, but are also commercially viable, technically sound and suitable for high-quality production in Europe.

For the collaborative development of your collection in preparation for clothing production, we welcome you to a dedicated Fitting & Design Day at our Hamburg studio. This personal session forms the foundation for the collection design and the future aesthetic direction of your brand, based on a pre-defined collection concept developed together with you.

Personal Design Process with Stefan Eckert & Team

For the collaborative development of designs, we welcome our clients to a personal Fitting & Design Day at our Fashion Design Studio Hamburg. Through close, hands-on collaboration, creative concepts, technical requirements and production-related parameters are aligned in a structured and transparent manner.

The Fitting & Design Day serves as a binding milestone within the collection development process. By working directly with Stefan Eckert and his team, clear and well-founded decisions are made, consistently guided by the collection concept and the jointly defined goals for the brand and the collection. This creates planning reliability for both clothing production and the subsequent market launch of the collection.

Fit, Materials & Final Design Decisions

During the Fitting & Design Day, we establish the foundation for:

  • fits and size grading systems

  • the selection of materials and trims in line with the collection concept

  • construction methods, seams and technical details

In addition, factors such as target retail prices, planned quantities and production locations are integrated into the decision-making process. This ensures that all design decisions are both creatively strong and commercially viable.

Collection Concept & Target Group Definition

Target Group as the Foundation
of Collection Development

A clearly defined target group is essential to the success of any fashion collection. At our Fashion Design Studio Hamburg, it directly influences key aspects such as:

  • design decisions

  • the structure of product categories (e.g. T-shirts, sweaters, jeans)

  • price positioning

  • the subsequent marketing strategy in retail and online channels

As part of the collection development process at our Fashion Design Studio Hamburg, we work closely with our clients to define exactly who the collection is designed for. The more precisely the target group is defined, the more clearly and efficiently it can be addressed — forming the foundation for a coherent, market-ready and successful fashion collection.

Product Categories, Price Segments &
Design Strategy

Based on this foundation, we structure collections into clearly defined, target group–oriented product categories and develop a design strategy that aligns market expectations with the individual framework conditions of our clients. This includes the deliberate composition of product groups, a coherent pricing architecture and a consistent design language across the entire collection.

By strategically balancing key styles, volume drivers and complementary products, we create collections that are both commercially viable and brand-driven. Clear price segmentation and a well-defined design strategy provide orientation throughout the development process and ensure consistency from concept to final production.

This clarity reduces risk, facilitates decision-making and significantly increases the attractiveness of the collection for retail partners as well as end customers—laying the groundwork for sustainable positioning and long-term success in the premium and luxury fashion segment.

Development of a Clear Brand Signature

Guideline for Consistent
Fashion Collection Development

Based on the brand concept, we work closely with our clients at our Fashion Design Studio Hamburg to develop a clear design guideline that connects all styles within a collection and ensures visual and conceptual consistency.

If no fully developed concept exists, we support both start-ups and established brands in the strategic development of their brand and collection—closely interlinked with the collection design process.

Fashion Marketing & Brand Positioning

Brand Identity

For the sustainable development of a brand, a clear brand identity plays a central role. A brand signature can be deliberately understated or clearly visible — what matters is its recognizability and consistent repetition across all designs.

Examples of brand identity elements include:

  • recurring cuts or fits

  • distinctive construction or finishing details

  • subtle or deliberately accentuated branding

  • consistent use of logos, materials and color codes

Philosophy & Working Approach

Creative and Commercial Fashion Collection Development

At Fashion Roof Services, design and commercial viability are always considered as an inseparable unit. At our Fashion Design Studio Hamburg, we take target retail prices, planned quantities, material availability and production locations into account from the early stages of collection development.

This approach ensures that collections are not only compelling from a design perspective, but also economically sound and profitably structured — a key factor for brands pursuing long-term and sustainable business growth.

Design Studio with International High-Fashion Experience

Our design studio in Hamburg operates at the intersection of high fashion, premium fashion and corporate fashion. Experience gained from international fashion houses as well as our own brand projects flows directly into every collection development process.

Our clients benefit from our long-standing expertise in building and developing commercially successful collections. Through the structured and professional refinement of creative ideas, we enable both start-ups and established brands to enter the market with strong, well-positioned fashion collections.

Packaging & Collection Presentation

The presentation of a brand and its collection is a decisive factor in how it is perceived in the market and whether it reaches the intended target group. At our Fashion Design Studio Hamburg, all visual elements follow a coherent overarching concept — from the initial design stage through communication and marketing to the final delivered product.

This creates a unified brand image that builds trust and sustainably reinforces market positioning. It is essential that the first point of contact between end customers and the brand aligns with the core brand message. For example, if a brand is positioned around sustainability and environmental responsibility, this should be consistently reflected in environmentally conscious packaging.

Together with our clients, we develop tailored concepts for a high-quality and holistic presentation of collections, including the following areas:

  • hangtags and labels

  • tissue paper and shipping boxes

  • presentation boxes

  • hangers and garment bags
